Campbell, thanks for your comment. The film was shown as part of the Hot Docs film festival here in Toronto back in April. Unfortunately, many fine documentaries don't get theatrical releases.

I suggest you get in touch directly with the film's director, Alison McAlpine. On the film's web site, her email is listed as secondsight@alisonmcalpine.com, or you can call her at (416) 539-8642. You can also subscribe to updates on the film's web site (click the Contact tab).

This sounds like a 'must see' film. Where when is it to be shown? In "A Summer in Skye", by Alexander Smith, written in 1864 and edited by William Laughlin and published in 1995 with a reprint in 2004, (Birlinn, ISBN 1 874744386) the topic is discussed in considerable detail with anecdotes of the day, some of which are compelling. Having grown up in a small rural community where this topic of second sight was treated with respect, I heard many stories on the topic, told by old Scots story tellers, some of whom spoke Scots Gaelic. Now for the film. Bring it on. Campbell McBurney
